The purpose of the policy is to inform staff, trustees, suppliers, volunteers and stakeholders of the Ensemble\u2019s principals for the use of Welsh and English.<\/p>\n
The policy reflects the Ensemble\u2019s commitment to the Welsh language.<\/p>\n
The Ensemble is committed to providing its services through both the medium of Welsh and English to an equally high level and on the basis that both languages are equal.<\/p>\n
Ensemble Cymru seeks to encourage the use of the Welsh language in the work place.<\/p>\n
The Ensemble welcomes correspondence in either Welsh or English and will reply to that correspondence in the language in which it was received.<\/p>\n
On sign up to mailing lists, individuals will be given the option to nominate a preferred language of communication (including bilingual). All correspondence sent to that person will be in the preferred language.<\/p>\n
Where individuals have not nominated a preferred language, all correspondence will be sent bilingually, further to receipt of a reply from an individual future correspondence shall be sent in the language of that reply.<\/p>\n
The Ensemble adopts a default position of displaying Welsh before English. Where correspondence is to be sent only to regions where the usual is English before Welsh, language order shall be changed to reflect this.<\/p>\n
The time period for acknowledgement of correspondence will be the same for both Welsh and English.<\/p>\n
The Ensemble welcomes telephone communication in either Welsh or English<\/p>\n
Staff will answer the telephone with a Welsh greeting.<\/p>\n
Staff will endeavour to communicate with individuals in their preferred language<\/p>\n
Where a Welsh\u2010speaking member of staff is not available, this will be politely explained and the caller asked if they are willing to speak to a non Welsh\u2010speaking member of staff or have a Welsh speaking member of staff them call them back.
All greetings and instructions on answer machines will be provided bilingually.<\/p>\n
All materials intended for public consumption will be produced in Welsh and English.<\/p>\n
Normal practice will be to produce bilingual versions within the same document.<\/p>\n
Where material is published in separate language versions, these will be distributed simultaneously.<\/p>\n
All the Ensemble\u2019s corporate internet pages shall be available in both Welsh and English.<\/p>\n

Pwrpas y polisi hwn yw hysbysu staff, ymddiriedolwyr, gyflenwyr, gwirfoddolwyr a budd-ddeiliaid o penaethiaid yr Ensemble ar gyfer y defnydd o’r Gymraeg a Saesneg. Mae’r polisi hwn yn adlewyrchu ymrwymiad yr Ensemble i’r iaith Gymraeg. Mae’r Ensemble yn croeso gohebiaeth yn Gymraeg neu Saesneg a bydd yn ymateb i’r ohebiaeth yn yr iaith y’i derbyniwyd. Ar gofrestru ar restrau postio, bydd unigolion yn cael yr opsiwn i enwebu iaith cyfathrebu ddewisol (gan gynnwys ddwyieithog).\u00a0 Bydd holl ohebiaith a anfonir at y person hwnnw yn ei iaith ddewisol. Lle nad yw unigolion wedi enwebu iaith ddewisol, bydd yr holl ohebiaith yn cael ei hanfon yn ddwyieithog, wrth dderbyn ateb gan unigolyn bydd gohebiaith yn y dyfodol yn cael ei hanfon yn yr iaith yr ateb hwnnw. Mae’r Ensemble yn cymryd safbwynt ddifoyn o arddangos Cymraeg cyn Saesneg. Pan fydd gohebiaith yn cael ei hanfon yn unig i ranbarthu lle mae Saesneg cyn Cymraeg yr arfer, bydd trefn ieithyddol yn cael ei newid i adlewyrchu hyn. Bydd y cyfnod amser ar gyfer cydnabod ohebiaith yr un fath ar gyfer y Gymraeg a’r Saesneg.<\/p>\n
Mae’r Ensemble yn croeso gohebiaith ff\u00f4n yn y Gymraeg a’r Saesneg. Bydd staff yn ateb y ff\u00f4n gyda chyfarchiad Cymraeg. Bydd staff yn ymdrechu i gyfathrebu gyda unigolion yn ei iaith ddewisol. Lle nad oes aelod o staff Cymraeg ar gael, bydd hyn yn cael ei egluro yn gwrtais ac gofynnwyd i’r galwr os ydynt yn fodlon siarad ag aelod o staff di-Gymraeg neu cael aelod o staff sy’n siarad Cymraeg ffonio nhw yn \u00f4l. Bydd yr holl gyfarchio a chyfarwyddiadau ar beiriannau ateb yn ddwyieithog.<\/p>\n
Bydd yr holl deunyddiau a fwriedir ar gyfer y cyhoedd yn cael eu cynhyrchu yn Gymraeg a Saesneg. Bydd y drefn arferol i cynhyrchu fersiynau dwyieithog o fewn yr un dogfen. Lle mae deynydd yn cael ei gyhoeddi yn fersiynau iaith ar wahan, bydd y rhain yn cael ei dosbarthu ar yr un pryd. Bydd holl dudalennau we corfforaethol yr Ensemble ar gael yn Gymraeg a Saesneg.<\/p>\n
