Cello: Nicola Pearce

Nicola grew up in Bedford and Devon before studying at the Royal Academy of Music and at the Trinity College of Music London. She has won several recognised awards including a scholarship to study at the Musical Academia Chigiana in Sienna, Italy.

Having moved to north Wales in 2003, Nicola now teaches people of all ages, backgrounds and abilities as well as being a cellist in the Welsh Chamber Orchestra and Ensemble Cymru. Recently, with Canolfan Gerdd William Mathias, she set up the Caernarfon Community Orchestra for adults, which has proved a great success. She lives with her husband Andy and their two boys Thomas and Oliver.
One of Nicola’s cello teachers also taught the cello to Prince Charles.
