Cello: Nicola Pearce

Nicola grew up in Bedford and Devon before studying at the Royal Academy of Music and at the Trinity College of Music London. She has won several recognised awards including a scholarship to study at the Musical Academia Chigiana in Sienna, Italy.

Violin: Florence Cooke

Florence Cooke is much in demand as a chamber musician and has performed extensively in the UK and abroad.  She studied at Cambridge University, where she held an academic scholarship, and the Guildhall, where she held the Leverhulme Fellowship. 

Viola: Sara Roberts

Sara is from Llanfairpwll, Anglesey, where she was taught the violin by Almut Bone and Margaret Scourse before taking up the viola at the age of 15. Sara studied with Penny Stirling and Louise Lansdown at the RNCM.

Viola: Lucy Nolan

Dublin-born Lucy is currently enjoying a busy career as a chamber musician and teacher.  She graduated with highest honours from the Royal Northern College of Music with a Bachelor Degree.

Violin: Elenid Owen

Welsh violinist Elenid Owen has been a member of the Paris based Ludwig String Quartet for more than 25 years, giving over 1500 concerts and master classes worldwide and recording 20 CDs for ‘Naxos’, ‘Naïve’ and ‘Universal’ labels.

Viola: Oliver Wilson

Oliver was guest principal viola with the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment at Schloss Esterhazy in Eisenstadt (where the composer Haydn lived and worked) and performed at the BBC Proms and the Edinburgh Festival with Sir John Eliot Gardiner and the Orchestre Revolutionnaire et Romantique.
