Past Big Give success

How your Big Give donations have helped in the past

Past Big Give campaigns have allowed Ensemble Cymru to successfully host Chamber Fest – a festival dedicated to celebrating Chamber Music –  as well as produce the first commercially available Welsh language recording of Prokofiev’s Peter and the Wolf with actor Rhys Ifans.

One thing is for certain, these projects would not have been possible had it not been for the money you helped us raise through the Big Give.

We hope that you will help us once again with the Big Give Challenge 2016.

It is only with your help that we can continue with our work and share the joy of music making for years to come!

Why we NEED your Help!

In an ever-declining economic climate and dwindling financial support, we need YOUR HELP more than ever to keep our mission alive.

Please help us to continue to make an impact for the next 15 years!

The money raised via the Big Give will be used to bring classical music to those who may not otherwise be able to experience it, as well as to raise the profile of chamber music in Wales, promote contemporary Welsh compositions and help nurture the creative growth of the Arts in Wales.

Activities will include:

* Performances in care-homes and hospitals

* Primary school workshops, especially in disadvantaged areas

* Master classes and mentoring performances for young people as part of Ensemble Cymru’s Chamber Music Academy

* Internship and work experience opportunities for those who want to build a career in the Arts

* A platform for aspiring young musicians alongside professional members of the Ensemble

* A residency opportunity for a Welsh composer to work with the Ensemble

* Record and promote a new recording of a Welsh 20th Century composer
