Inspiring children, building confidence, supporting health and wellbeing, and exploring music with child-led curiosity is an essential element of our work. We benefit so much from working with children. Their ideas, energy and aspirations feed our creativity.

We continue to love our work with teachers and pupils in Holyhead schools. This collaboration has seen a real increase in the confidence of early years children. Together we explore music through movement, listening, performing and play.

We’ve worked with an artist facilitator and communities to create a bi-lingual project that created new music. Inspired by the stories and lives of children and their families, young composers workshopped the ideas to create 20 new pieces of music.

With our new friends at Oriel Myrddin Gallery, we created online activities for primary school children in lockdown. Commissioning new compositions, we created podcasts that encourage listening, mindfulness, breathing, relaxation and creativity.

Children of Ysgol Tudno continue to inspire us. We work with them to promote wellbeing through music, which has included new projects like Radio Ensemble Cymru, a daily radio broadcast.
