Accessibility

Ensemble Cymru is committed to increasing access so that everyone, irrespective of where they live and their individual needs can access outstanding music and opportunities from Ensemble Cymru.

We’ve redesigned our website with access in mind.

We work with families, groups and communities to ensure that the events and projects we manage are all designed to accommodate the individual needs of our participants, performers and audiences.

We work with managed venues to ensure that we have their most up-to-date information about access.

When we perform in smaller community venues (spaces which might not have websites or access information readily available) we work hard to share all the information you need about parking, disabled access and facilities.

We’re continuing to explore and innovate with digital technology to find new ways to reach audiences in their homes.

We purposefully work with excluded and isolated groups – people who might not feel able to access concerts, events or performances – to create and design experiences specifically for them, and put their needs at the heart of what we do.

We are a very small team with big ambitions. If you would like to support our work and can offer any practical solutions to amplify our work in this area (perhaps you’re a BSL interpreter or a captioner) then we’d love to hear from you.

Hynt

Hynt is a national access scheme that works with theatres and arts centres in Wales to make sure there is a consistent offer available for visitors with an impairment or specific access requirement, and their Carers or Personal Assistants. Their site will tell you all you need to know about Hynt: who it’s for; what it provides; and how to become a member.

If you need support or assistance to attend a performance at a theatre or arts centre then you may be eligible to join hynt. Please visit www.hynt.co.uk/en/
