There, I&#8217;m studying a range of modules including music composition and theory, and my main interest is performance. I was born in Barry, South Wales, and lived there all my life until I chose to move to North Wales for my undergraduate degree. I am a fluent Welsh speaker and studying at Bangor University gave me the opportunity to pursue my passion for music and study in Welsh. At home, I&#8217;ve grown up in brass bands, starting when I was 6 years old, in the Vale of Glamorgan Brass Band, and since then I&#8217;ve played with bands such as Tylorstown and more recently Deiniolen. My main instrument is the Flugelhorn, but I also play the Trumpet, the Cornet, and the Tenor Corn, and I have also won many awards for playing the Flugelhorn.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While attending Bangor University, I have been actively involved in several music societies, including the Music Society Orchestra, Brass Band (BUBB), Concert Band and the Jazz Band. In these societies, I have key positions on the committee such as Welsh Language Representative (in each), Librarian (BUBB) and Treasurer (Jazz Band), which makes me a valuable member of every society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I&#8217;m also part of the Bangor University Symphony Orchestra, where I&#8217;ve performed symphonies such as Bizet Overture: Carmen.
