For the very first time, singers will perform as part of the ensemble for its brand new season of Coffee Concerts \u2013 the <em>Classic Voice<\/em> series.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p>The Anglesey-born soprano, Llio Evans, will join Ensemble Cymru for its North Wales-wide tour during the first week of November. The 27-year-old singer, and former International Eisteddfod winner, will perform as part of a trio alongside pianist Anya Fadina and the Ensemble\u2019s principal clarinettist, Peryn Clement-Evans. Talking about the programme, Llio said:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe will be performing stunning music from all over the globe as well as music by Welsh composers. It\u2019s a chance to hear some rarely performed gems as well as some classics, including Strauss\u2019 <em>Wiegenlied, <\/em>Meirion Williams\u2019 <em>Mai<\/em> and Schubert\u2019s <em>Shepherd on the Rock<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And if you\u2019re not familiar with chamber music, Ensemble Cymru concerts offer the ideal opportunity to explore the genre as the young soprano explains,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cSince they\u2019re Coffee Concerts, they\u2019re short and sweet (about an hour), so if you\u2019re new to classical music and fancy a taster, this concert is perfect for you.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ensemble Cymru\u2019s Artistic Director, Peryn Clement-Evans discusses the new developments within the Ensemble ahead of the new season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image size-medium wp-image-2815\"><figure class=\"alignleft\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ensemble.cymru\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/Peryn-for-web-1-300x224.jpg\" alt=\"Peryn Clement-Evans\" class=\"wp-image-2815\"\/><figcaption>Peryn Clement-Evans<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cInvolving singers in the Ensemble has been something we\u2019ve wanted to do ever since Ensemble Cymru started in 2001. The prospect of bringing an even richer range of music for audiences is especially thrilling. In doing so, we look forward to creating more work opportunities for top class singers in Wales who want to join us in sharing our passion for chamber music.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Looking forward to the other concerts in the season, baritone Owen Webb, a regular performer with Welsh National Opera, will feature in the February concerts while soprano Mary-Jean O\u2019Doherty will be the vocalist for the May concerts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To ensure your seat at all three concerts in the <em>Classic Voice<\/em> series, a season ticket package is available for the very first time.
