Join Bangor-based classical music group, Ensemble Cymru, for lunch with a difference at Galeri this September. \u2018A Taste of Ensemble Cymru\u2019 will see a trio of top chamber music musicians entertain diners with an hour long programme of live music especially chosen to delight and intrigue.<\/p>\n

Whether you\u2019re new to classical music, a bit of an expert or somewhere in between, the friendly atmosphere and the commentary from the musicians in between the music makes this a concert everyone can enjoy! Plus there\u2019s the added bonus of a delicious soup lunch followed by tea or coffee served by Galeri\u2019s own Doc Caf\u00e9 Bar. <\/p>\n

Ensemble Cymru\u2019s Artistic Director and principal clarinettist, Peryn Clement-Evans, explains what audiences can expect from the lunch time concert: \u201cWe\u2019ve weaved together a varied programme to best showcase the three instruments featured in this concert, the piano, clarinet and cello. There will be music from Beethoven which was written at the height of his powers as a virtuoso pianist, plus a beautiful rendition by the cello of the classical master, Vivaldi, and to contrast we\u2019ll have some music by one of the great jazz clarinettists of the 20th<\/sup> century, Benny Goodman. I\u2019m particularly looking forward to playing music by the 18th<\/sup> century opera composer, Weber which features the clarinet at its most dramatic and operatic.\u201d
\n\"Galeri<\/a>Visitors to Galeri may have experienced their own \u2018taste of Ensemble Cymru\u2019 over the summer as the group has been performing a series of free pop-up concerts at the venue to enable new audiences to access classical music. \u2018A Taste of Ensemble Cymru\u2019 takes place at Galeri, Caernarfon on Monday 29 September, 12:30pm. Tickets are priced at \u00a310 and \u00a312 and includes a soup lunch.
