It\u2019s been a very exciting time and I&#8217;ve loved working with such a lovely and talented bunch of people, particularly as I\u2019m a very rusty amateur violin player!<\/p>\n<p>Over the last year the Ensemble has achieved a huge amount. Some of the highlights for me have been:<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Taking our first national tour where we performed new works by the Welsh composers Christopher Painter and Gareth Glyn alongside works by Grace Williams, Dvor\u00e1k and Dohn\u00e1nyi.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1745\" title=\"Ensemble Cymru\" src=\"http:\/\/www.ensemblecymru.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/hannah1.jpg\" alt=\"Ensemble Cymru\" width=\"489\" height=\"326\" \/><\/p>\n<p>I particularly enjoyed meeting so many of our lovely donors:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1746\" title=\"Ensemble Cymru\" src=\"http:\/\/www.ensemblecymru.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/hannah2.jpg\" alt=\"Ensemble Cymru\" width=\"486\" height=\"324\" \/><\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Recording Peter and the Wolf at the Ucheldre Centre in Holyhead, which couldn\u2019t have been achieved without the support of our generous supporters including the Colwinston Charitable Trust, the Peter Saunders Trust and the Patsy Wood Trust.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1747\" title=\"Ensemble Cymru\" src=\"http:\/\/www.ensemblecymru.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/hannah3.jpg\" alt=\"Ensemble Cymru\" width=\"403\" height=\"324\" \/><\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Taking part in the <a title=\"The Big Music Challenge: Ensemble Cymru\u2019s Big Give 2012 Campaign\" href=\"http:\/\/www.ensemblecymru.co.uk\/2012\/12\/the-big-music-challenge-ensemble-cymrus-big-give-2012-campaign\/\">Big Music Challenge<\/a>; we are enormously grateful to everyone who has supported this project to help us to take chamber music to communities of north Wales. We had a particularly good week to promote the challenge around north Wales during the first week in December.
