Developing talent

Core to our mission is developing the talent of Wales. We want to enhance and increase the cultural ecology and economy by supporting emerging talent. We create opportunities to showcase talent and support the development of musicians and composers.

Through a series of pre-concert performances we provided opportunities for Welsh composers to bring their work before our audiences. They had the opportunity to showcase their work and increase their profile in a friendly and trusted environment.

We are re-establishing our employability opportunities in Arts Management for students from Bangor University. We are proud to have been a part of the story of students who have gone on to successful careers as managers with leading music organisations including Royal Opera House, Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, Welsh National Opera, Opera North, BBC Concert Orchestra and the Philharmonia.

We continue to support composers in Wales with Gareth Glyn, John Metcalf, Mared Emlyn, Clare Victoria Roberts being some of the composers we have commissioned.

We are working to establish a young composers programme for north Wales inspired by our experience of working with and recording the works of over 60 secondary school composers as part of the Dyfed Young Composers Programme in South West Wales.
