Making music
We’re passionate about music and love sharing it with audiences and communities across Wales. Our first love is Chamber Music. We believe that small ensembles drawn from a pool of committed and passionate musicians have the power to create music that is uniquely intimate, elegant and beautiful.
Working in a small ensemble requires exceptional listening, high levels of trust and confidence. We listen more, connect more, share more. It also enables every musician to shine, develop and grow with demanding repertoire and solo performances.
When we’re not performing Chamber Music, we’re composing, co-creating and collaborating to create new music. We love making music that celebrates and amplifies the voices, stories and landscapes of Wales.
We’ve started to explore new genres and new partnerships. We’re collaborating and co-creating with jazz musicians, dancers and singers.
Over the years we’ve had so many highlights. We’ve celebrated Welsh talent, performing with the internationally renowned artistes, including harpists Catrin Finch, Isabelle Moretti and Deborah Henson-Conant;
cellist Paul Watkins (Emerson Quartet); actor Rhys Ifans; and opera singer, Rebecca Evans
We’ve celebrated Welsh heritage, collaborating with OPRA Cymru on a brand new Welsh language opera by Gareth Glyn and Mererid Hopwood.
We’ve showcased home grown talent abroad with performances in Switzerland, Shanghai and Hong Kong.
We’ll continue to collaborate, connect and share our music, our heritage and our passion with communities across Wales. If you’ve got an idea or a project you’d like to explore with us, we’d love to hear from you. Contact us.
