Ensemble Cymru will be playing notes of thanks to the people of wales and beyond, in a special concert at Llandudno’s Gloddaeth Church at 10.30 on May 23rd.
The Thank you concert was held in Llandudno to thank the donors to the Big GIve
The Big Give is a charity that runs an annual campaign to raise money for charities through match funding, and as a result of its most recent campaign before Christmas, Ensemble Cymru successfully raised £25,000. The money will assist the Ensemble, which is also resident ensemble of Bangor University and Venue Cymru to take classical chamber music to corners of Wales which do not have an opportunity to hear or appreciate quality classical chamber music often.
Three members of Ensemble Cymru will perform in the Thank you concert, Peryn Clement-Evans (Clarinet and Artistic Director of Ensemble Cymru), Nicola Pearce (Cello) and Christina Mason Sceuermann (piano) and the programme will include works by Schubert, Glinka and Benny Goodman.
In addition to enjoying the concert, there will be an opportunity for people attending to discuss and share their ideas for Ensemble Cymru’s future in Llandudno. Peryn Clement-Evans explained further.

During the concert in Llandudno, there will be an opportunity to hear a taster of autumns concerts when Ensemble Cymru will launch its @Caru Schubert campaign, a campaign to introduce the beautiful music of Franz Schubert to communities and schools the length and breadth of Wales. The information will be on Ensemble Cymru’s website before long.
