• Ravel’s piece is one of the most stunningly beautiful pieces ever written.
• John Metcalf is a Welsh composer who writes in a very attractive melodic style.
• Debussy is one of the foremost French composers of the 20th century and his music is impressionistic.
• Christopher Painter is a Welsh composer from Port Talbot who writes in a more modern style.
• Jean Francaix (‘Frans-ay’) is a 20th century French composer who wrote in a very quirky and fun style.
