Ensemble Cymru, Bangor University and Venue Cymru’s resident ensemble, performs once again at Pontio, with a dream of a programme featuring the famous Schubert Octet; a major accomplishment in chamber music that continues to captivate music-lovers across the world, alongside a contemporary Welsh tribute to this great historic figure from the pen of composer, John Metcalf.

A Pre-concert Event exclusive to Pontio
2.30pm
Join local instrumentalists, singers and Ensemble Cymru in a fun pre-concert introduction to the music of Schubert. The audience is welcome to join through singing or humming or sit back and enjoy. This 15-minute pre-concert informal event will start at 2.30pm. Admission free with concert ticket.
